One can reach the Silvretta Bielerhöhe in winter using the Vermuntbahn Partenen cableway and the "Tunnelbus". The Silvretta Bielerhöhe is a real discovery for all those who like to be sportingly active away from the hassle.

The idyllic world of the mountains in winter and the charming, snow-covered Silvrettasee lake make it easy to leave the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life down in the valley. On the Bielerhöhe at 2,032 m, a fantastic view opens up for visitors over the gigantic mountain world which includes the highest mountain in Vorarlberg, Piz Buin (3212 m).

In the middle of this panorama lies the frozen Silvrettasee, which in winter is open for cross- country skiing with its superbly prepared runs at all levels of difficulty, giving 22 km of cross- country skiing pleasure at 2,000 m above sea level. The Bielerhöhe is also a fine starting point for fantastic walks and tours.

The luxurious Hochgebirgspension Silvretta-Haus high alpine pension right on the Silvrettasee, with its 14 excellently equipped rooms, modern sports and fitness area, saunas, seminar rooms, etc, impresses with its comfort and amenities, and invites one to stop awhile. There are changing facilities with lockers for cross- country skiers in the Berggasthof Piz Buin mountain guest house.
