Silvretta Hochalpenstraße High Alpine Road / Silvretta Bielerhöhe

The Silvretta Hochalpenstraße High Alpine Road is considered one of the most beautiful and popular panoramic roads in the Alps. It is 22.3 km long and leads from Partenen in Montafon (1,051 m) in a total of 34 bends up to the 2,032 m Bielerhöhe (toll road) and on to Galtür (1,584 m) in the Paznauntal valley. The Bielerhöhe, at the top of the Silvretta-Hochalpenstrasse between Montafon and the Paznauntal valley, is the starting point for numerous hikes and tours. With the Silvrettasee nestling in the magnificent high mountain landscape, it offers a fantastic panorama.fers a fantastic panorama.

A special experience: a boat trip on the Silvrettasee in the motorboat "Silvretta", providing Europe's only regular motorboat service at over 2,000 m above sea level. Round trips are available from the beginning of July to the end of September. In the Restaurant Silvrettasee one can enjoy a unique view of the Silvrettasee. The Silvretta-Haus (a luxurious high alpine pension), the Berggasthof Piz Buin and the Madlenerhaus invite one to linger on the Bielerhöhe.
